The Style
The Bell Coat is fantastically flattering and easy to wear.
It is designed to fall to the calf, has roomy bracelet length sleeves, subtle box pleats at the shoulders and a generous swing. Two small seams accentuate a flattering waisted shape at the back and jetted pockets sit at a subtly slanted angle at the front.
The design can be worn open or closed. When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to 'close' the coat with any of our closures.
Fabric
A wonderful brocade from Stephen Walters, master weavers in Suffolk.
This fabric holds its shape wonderfully and is practically creaseless.
A midweight fabric, this is fabric is hugely versatile, perfect for wearing inside, as well as in autumn and on cooler summer days. It can also be dressed up wonderfully for the evening or special occasions.
Lining
Lined in Pewter Silk with a Dark Navy Satin trim.
