Stephen Walters is a centuries-old weaver based in Sudbury, the home of English silk weaving. We are delighted to be able to commission brocades from them in a host of patterns, colours and textures.

Rich and structured, dramatic in sheen or deep in texture, brocade is among the most beautiful and versatile of cloths. It holds a coat's shape better than almost any cloth and resists creasing, which makes it ideal both for wearing all day and for packing. It takes you from day to night and across the seasons, and is made to last.

We have commissioned a wide range of brocades – amongst our collection you will find jewel-like colours, intricate patterns and tactile textures.

Find a brocade you love – or work with us to define one and we will have it woven for you – and we will make it up by hand into a coat in our London workshop. Go long for the opera, shorter for work, or somewhere in the middle for a bit of both.
