Our A-Line Bell Sleeve Brett Coat and Cap Sleeve Dress in our Verditter
Silk Matka. This is a superbly smart, easy to wear summer suit that will work well on the smartest of occasions. Both coat and dress can also be worn wonderfully as separates.
The Coat
Hugely wearable, the Brett has a gentle A-line body shape with a magnificent swing and is particularly flattering on fuller-figured Column, Apple and Pear shapes.
The Brett has two slanted pockets to the front, generous shorter sleeves and is designed to fall to mid-low calf length.
The coat has a box pleats at the shoulders and bracelet-length bell cuff sleeves.
The Brett is designed to be worn open. The two front panels should meet, but not overlap.
The Dress
This dress is simple, cool and comfortable. While it stands on its own beautifully, it is designed to sit under our A-Line shaped coat style.
It is designed to fall to mid-low calf length, just shy of the coat length, and has a clean, simple A-Line shape. It is fully lined in silk.
The sleeves are fully lined and gently cap the shoulder, as shown in the photographs.
The Fabric
Silk Matka is a linen-like silk that is light, cool and elegant. The weave is linen-like, but Matka creases far less than linen. The colour is a sophisticated pale bluey-green.
