At EdNerat we write our own words (and make our own mistakes), but from time to time (like most writers) we like a distraction. We often find the AI text generator in our web platform to be just the ticket for such diversions — providing endless hours of depressing, distracting amusement.

Within seconds it can tell us that pretty much all our coats are pretty much all of the above. With the simple press of a button it can generate several hundred words of gibberish describing our coats in precisely the same way so many other clothes are described.

Ever wondered why everything is (often both) a timeless classic and (often both) iconic and unique? It might be illiteracy, ignorance, plagiarism or a mix of all those things — or it could be AI.

So, if you have ever wondered why there is such a mismatch between product descriptions and the products themselves, or so many contorted and verbose repetitions in product descriptions, it might not be laziness itself — but the tool devised to remedy it: AI.

Leaving aside the mis-use of language, the AI text generator might explain another thing — misleading claims.

EdNerat has never "committed to style". How would we actually do this? We are also left asking ourselves how wearers might be able to "experience the heritage" of a one year old coatmaker? Answers on a postcard, please.

Then there's the origin claims. EdNerat makes everything here, but the AI text generator doesn't know that — it only knows that our site carries the words "Made in Great Britain". Although it would be true to state as much, nowhere do we say: "Every single coat we make is made in Great Britain".

The AI tool carries a disclaimer in the small print — AI can make mistakes, so double-check that the results are accurate before using them. But one wonders ...
