Long Teal Wool Coat

Our Hourglass Coats are the most shaped and tailored of our coats. They have a neatly tailored shape and a structure that mirrors the traditional hourglass shape, with a fitted silhouette and defined waist.

Generous full length sleeves are slitted at the wrist and have deep internal hems that create neat fold-back cuffs. The coat has two hidden seam pockets and is designed to be worn low on the calf. 

When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.

Cuts

We offer this shape in two cuts -

The Biffin – for the broader backed, smaller chested frame.

The Vasey – for the narrower backed, fuller chested frame.

Collars

Both cuts can be ordered with a Nehru collar (as shown in the photographs) or with a simple round neck collar.

Co-ordinates

A skirt can be ordered to go with this outer. If you would like to make a suit of it, we suggest ordering both skirt and coat at the same time as fabric colours tend to differ between dye batches.

Fabric

This is a finely woven Yorkshire tweed. Elegant and easy it make a hugely useful addition to your wardrobe, co-ordinating with a host of colours - greens, blues, blacks, browns and more.

Linings

Lined in Stone Silk with a Dark Green trim.
