The Brett Coat in Silk Matka

The Brett coat has a box pleat at the shoulders, darts at the bust, gathered bell cuffs, a gentle A-line shape and a magnificent swing.

The Brett has two slanted pockets to the front, generous bracelet-length sleeves and is designed to fall to mid-low calf length.

The Brett is designed to be worn open. The two front panels should meet, but not overlap. 

The Fabric

Silk Matka is a linen-like silk that is light, cool and elegant. The weave is linen-like, but Matka creases far less than linen.

100% Silk

Collars 

The Brett can be ordered with no collar, a Mandarin Collar or a Nehru Collar.

Body Shape 

Hugely wearable, the Brett is particularly flattering on the fuller-busted shape and is superbly suited to wearing above a shorter sleeve or flared sleeve dress. Those with straighter figures should opt for the Delany Coat which is available to order in the same fabric.

Lining

Lined in pure silk. We line our Matkas in light coloured silks. You can either email us specifying your choice, or we will be in touch with our suggested recommendation.
