The Hourglass Coat in Dark Navy Bouclé
Formal Coat
Our Hourglass Coats are the most shaped and tailored of our coats. They have a neatly tailored shape and a structure that mirrors the traditional hourglass shape, with a fitted silhouette and defined waist.
Generous full length sleeves are slitted at the wrist and have deep internal hems that create neat fold-back cuffs. The coat has two hidden seam pockets and is designed to be worn low on the calf.
When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.
Cuts
We offer this shape in two cuts -
The Biffin – for the broader backed, smaller chested frame.
The Vasey – for the narrower backed, fuller chested frame.
Collars
The coats can be ordered with no collar (as shown in the photographs) or with a Nehru collar.
Fabric
A very smart limited edition dark navy blue-black coloured metallic boucle woven in Carlisle. Hugely versatile, this coat will take you to work, races, dinner, weddings and beyond.
Lining
Lined in Navy Silk with a Ochre Satin Trim.
