Summer Weight Silk Car Coat style shorter length coat available to order in a host of colours.

Our John Coat style made up in Silk Matka.  Finely executed simplicity made up in the best of materials, this is an incredibly wearable and superbly comfortable coat that can be dressed up for the smartest occasion or worn easily every day.

The Style

A trapeze-shaped coat, the John is designed to fall somewhere around the mid thigh, according to taste. One of the  easiest of our coats. it has generous sleeves, box pleats at the shoulders, pockets hidden quietly in the side seams and a generous swing.

The style is designed to be worn easily and open.

The John has bracelet-length sleeves and a simple round collar.

The Fabric

Silk Matka is a linen-like silk that is light, cool and elegant. The weave is linen-like, but Matka creases far less than linen. The coat can be ordered in all our silk matka colours.

Outer: 100% Silk

Lining: 100% Silk

Body Shape 

Flattering for all shapes and sizes, the John can be lengthened or shortened, it can be taken in at the shoulder and let out at the bust. Sleeve lengths can be adapted according to taste.

Lining

Lined in pure silk. We line our Matkas in light coloured silks. You can either email us specifying your choice, or we will be in touch with our suggested recommendation.

Colours

Shipment

We aim to deliver within three weeks of receiving your order. We ship on a Next Day basis using Signed For services. Should you need your coat more urgently, please drop us a line. We will always try our best!
