Our John Coat style in a wonderfully supple burnt orange wool crêpe. This is a smashing coat that can be shrugged over anything, or dressed up for works and bigger days out.

Fabric

Woven in Huddersfield, this is a mid-weight wool crêpe. The small amount of nylon in the otherwise all-wool composition of this fabric ensures it has a lovely spring to it (and that it creases only minimally). 

This fabric is both hard-wearing and elegant, its colour incredibly easy to co-ordinate. Neither too light nor too heavy, it is perfect for spring and autumn-wear – and all elegant occasions in between!

The Style

The John  is one of the easiest of our coats. Finely executed simplicity, it is incredibly wearable and superbly comfortable. 

A trapeze-shaped coat, the John is designed to fall somewhere around the mid thigh, according to taste. It has generous sleeves, smart box pleats atthe shoulders, pockets hidden quietly in the side seams and a generous swing.The style is designed to be worn easily and open.

The John has bracelet-length sleeves and a simple round collar as standard. Using the menu, you can select full-length sleeves and or a mandarin collar, should you prefer these.

Body Type

Flattering for all shapes and sizes, the John can be lengthened or shortened. Sleeve lengths can be adapted according to taste.

Lining & Trim

We have lined the coat in Hazel silk with a Dark Navy Satin Trim. If you would prefer alternatives, please drop us a note.

Shipment

We aim to deliver your coat within three weeks of receiving your order. We ship using a Next Day Signed For Service. Shipping of orders over £500 is free of charge.
