Cocoon Coat in Pure Silk Matka

A Simple Summer Weight Silk Cocoon Coat that can be dressed up or down – cinched in at the waist or worn open and relaxed.

An elegant everyday solution for spring & summer in pure Silk.

The Fabric

Silk Matka is a linen-like silk that is light, cool and elegant, perfect for summer wear. The Matka weave is linen-like, but has a smarter finish and has the huge benefit of creasing far less than linen. 

Style

Our Frink Shape is designed for elegance and ease. With a sculpted, architectural shape – which is fantastically versatile, flattering and easy to wear – it gathers loosely under the bust with gentle tucks at both front and back. Hidden pockets nestle at the side seams.

Designed to be worn on the shin, it is superbly comfortable. It has generous raglan sleeves, works for all frames and is particularly accommodating for larger sizes.

Cut

The Frink shape suits all body types. We offer it in two lengths – the Frink, which has bracelet length sleeves and comes to the knee (depending on height), and the Long Frink, which is designed to fall to mid shin.

Sleeves
 
This Frink Coat comes with shorter bracelet length sleeves and the Long Frink with full length sleeves. You are welcome to order a bespoke length – to do so, please get in touch by email at the time of ordering.

Closures

Closures can be added to the coat. We would suggest our brass hooks which attach discretely on the inside of the coat. We strongly recommend that you sew on the closures yourself so that you can fix them exactly where you would like them. Alternatively you could always return the coat to us for us to attach them.

Co-ordinates
 
Skirts, dresses, tops and trousers can be ordered to go or co-ordinate with this coat. We strongly recommend ordering Matka fabric co-ordinates at the same time to avoid differences between dye batches.

Lining

Lined in pure silk. We line our Matkas in light coloured silks. You can either email us specifying your choice, or we will be in touch with our suggested recommendation.

Colours

This coat is also available to order in all our silk matka colours. If it doesn't look like we offer what you are looking for, please get in touch and we will see if we can source you your ideal shade.

Shipment

We aim to deliver within three weeks of receiving your order. We ship using a Next Day Signed For delivery service. Should you need your coat more urgently, please drop us a line. We will always try our best!
