A-Line Coats

Our A-Line Style is easy, elegant and comfortable. With a flattering cut, it widens subtly to the hem, with slanted pockets to the front and gentle darts providing shape at the rear.

We have cut the A-line shape twice — once for a smaller bust and broader shoulder, once for a fuller bust and narrower shoulder. Adjustments can also be made.

Sleeve heads can be gathered for a softer look or left straight for a plainer one, and sleeves made to full or bracelet length.

We make the A-line through the year, in cloth chosen to suit the season: silk matka for summer, bouclé and brocade through the mid-season, and thicker bouclés, flannels and finely woven tweeds for the colder months. Each is lined in pure silk, with your choice of satin trim.

Order in our standard sizes, 6 to 20, or have us adapt the measurements — bust, shoulder, sleeve and length — to your own.

Ourr A-line coats are cut, made and finished by hand in London.

    Bust

    For A and B Cups, we suggest the Bell or Carrington and for those with C cups and above, the Burlison or Boyce.

  • Bespoke Red Bell Sleeve Boucle Coat

    Collars

    Our A-Line coats can be ordered with simple round neck, a rounded Mandarin or a squared 'Nehru' collar.

  • Bespoke Blue Brocade A Line Coat

    Length & Sleeve Length

    Our A-Line coats can be ordered with full or bracelet-length sleeves. Our standard coat lengths are set out in the size charts – but we are happy to cut bespoke lengths as needed.
