about the ganz
The Ganz is like an elegant shrug – the most comfortable and easy to wear of coats.
With a generous swing, this trapeze-shaped coat is designed to fall somewhere around the mid thigh, according to taste. It has rolled shoulders and pockets are hidden quietly in the side seams.
In our summer weight fabrics, our Ganz Coats have shorter bracelet length sleeves. In warmer weight fabrics, they can be made up with full length sleeves – for more details, please see our size charts.

The Ganz can be taken in or let out at the shoulders, cut to a longer or shorter length, and made with longer or shorter sleeves.

You can add any of our closures to this coat.

A lining and trim combination is suggested for each fabric, but you are free to choose from our house selection.

The size table below shows the measurements of the Ganz coat in both inches and centimetres. The graphic and accompanying table show the points at which the measurements have been taken. In our warmer-weight fabrics we add 8cm to the sleeve length shown in the charts.
In selecting your size please remember that these are the garment measurements – your own measurements will be smaller than those shown on the chart – ie a size 8 might typically have a bust measurement of 83cm, fitting a coat with a bust of 91cm.
When selecting your size, please bear in mind what you think you might want to wear underneath your coat and remember that while we can take coats in, we cannot let them out.
