The Carrington Coat in Silk Matka

The Carrington coat is fantastically flattering and easy to wear. It is designed to fall to the calf, has bracelet length sleeves, neatly tailored shoulders and a generous swing. Two small seams accentuate a flattering waisted shape at the back, while jetted pockets sit at a subtly slanted angle at the front.

The design can be worn open or closed. When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.

Shape

Hugely wearable by all shapes and sizes, the Carrington is particularly flattering on the more modestly busted Column, Apple and Pear shapes; those with a more generous bosom should look at the Boyce Coat which is available to order in the same fabrics and is specifically cut for the more voluptuous figure.

Collars

The Carrington Coat can be ordered with no collar, a Mandarin Collar or a Nehru Collar.

Fabric

Silk Matka is a wonderful linen-like pure silk fabric, extremely well-suited to summer and eveningwear. It scarcely creases, wears like a feather and is hugely versatile, dressing up smartly for weddings as well as it dresses down for the day-to-day. Linings

We have suggested a lining and trim to match each colourway. You are free to chose others from our house selection. If you would like to plump for an alternative, please note this at checkout, specifying which you would prefer.

Shipment

If we are making to a standard size with bespoke adjustments, we aim to ship within 14 days. If you need yours more urgently, drop us an email and we will do our best!
