The Bell in Silk Matka

The Bell coat is fantastically flattering and easy to wear. It is designed to fall to the calf, has roomy bracelet length sleeves, subtle pleats at the shoulders and a generous swing. Two small seams accentuate a flattering waisted shape at the back, while jetted pockets sit at a subtly slanted angle at the front.

The design can be worn open or closed. When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.

The Bell works well on all frames with more modest busts. For those with a fuller bust, we recommend the Burlison Coat.

Fabric

Silk Matka is a wonderful linen-like pure silk fabric, extremely well-suited to summer and eveningwear. It scarcely creases, wears like a feather and is hugely versatile, dressing up smartly for weddings as well as it dresses down for the day-to-day. The Bell is available to order in all our silk matka colours:

Collars

This coat can be ordered with no collar, a Mandarin Collar or a Nehru Collar.

Linings

We have suggested a lining and trim to match each colourway. You are free to chose others from our house selection. If you would like to plump for an alternative, please note this at checkout, specifying which you would prefer.

Shipment

If we are making to a standard size with bespoke adjustments, we aim to ship within 14 days. If you need yours more urgently, drop us an email and we will do our best!
